0.4.7 |
The YouTube video for How to install BPBible 0.4.7 on Ubuntu 10.10 in fifteen minutes worked great, but now a new version of Ubuntu has been released - 11.10. This version ships with Python 2.7 which will not work with the bindings provided on the Development Website under "Using the binaries Under Linux" which are targeting Python 2.6. Would you please post a new tar file on the Development Website with the bindings targeting Python 2.7? Thank you. |

Was wondering if there are any plans on getting this into the Android OS as an app? I would love to be able to have it on my phone? |

Hi. I am still using BP much, as i find it is the best of its kind for searching and copying which i do much of, by God's grace, but i would like to reduce the size of the search window more than it is allowed, in order to have the Bible view window side by side the search view, without having to shrink the Bible view even more than it is. I can only reduce the search view now to a little over half the size of my 19'' monitor. |

Module created by Bibledit would not install in BPBible. This is disappointing since so far this is my favorite program. I'm not certain, but I think it might have to do the orthography that our translation team switched to. We chose a different character to represent our glottal stop. Anyways, here is the error I got. I hope it is an easy fix. An error occurred while installing modules. Please make sure that the directory exists, and that you have permission to write to the directory. The error given was: Traceback (most recent call last): |

Hi, I love using BP Bible for personal study and devotions! Is there a module available with Bible maps? I don't see any graphics in any of the modules so I'm wondering if this is possible. |

I am using BPBible daily, and find it the best in its class for searching, but sometimes i find bugs or idiosyncrasies, with this one perhaps being the latter. I click on Search, and type in "pashur" (w/out quotes), and search the O.T. I then dbl. clk. on Jer. 20:6, which opens up in the Bible view window. Then, having clicked nothing, i click on Search again, and it gives me "Search index does not exist for KJVD.." More testing: |

Sometimes it seems like BPBible is not as well supported on Linux as it is on Windows. However, one of our enthusiastic users has created a YouTube video to explain the installation process on Ubuntu. For more information about it or to make comments, please go to the original forum post. |

I've had a tough time installing BPBible 0.4.7 on my netbook that is running Ubuntu 10.10. Actually, if you know what you are doing, it's quite easy. My main problem was not knowing anything about running python programs. After about three weeks of struggling, I got it working. I decided to make a screen capture video of the way I did the installation and post it on Youtube. I wanted it to be in real time with no cuts. This included, in part... 1. Launch browser and download source code and bindings, and unzip them. |

Just a minor thing, but when selecting a single word of Bible text i find no right click option to copy ("copy selection...") although, as in copying from the Bible address box, Ctrl+c will do it. Of course, there should seldom be a need to copy a single word, and selecting more than one word does result in the right click copy option. Thanks |

I began getting a VerseParsing error: 1 Thessalonians after trying to search for "remember" or anything in the N.T. after having tried to search for rememberance (misspelled for remembrance) I shut it down and restarted it, to no avail. Details raceback (most recent call last): |
