What a blessing!

I just want to let you know how thrilled I am about BPB and its application here in Mozambique. Most of the pastors and students I know will never have Internet access and might never step inside a bookstore but I can see this as a great way to share Bibles and resources. Flash drives are very common here and having the PortableApps BPBible on it is going to be a great blessing. I'm concerned about the situation of Portuguese Bibles but I know right now we can start creating modules for Mozambican languages.

Formatting of Bible text

Hi, thanks for the great program.

Sword format files?

Hello.
In FAQ section you said "Can I use my e-Sword modules in BPBible?
This has been considered. However, legal considerations make it unlikely that we will be able to use e-Sword books in BPBible."

Can you explain more about it, please?

Paragraph alignment for Chinese Text

Hi,
I am currently using BPBible 0.4.4. When displaying the Chinese text in paragraph format, the text did not wrapped around correctly. Many lines have the subscript line number as the final character of a verse with many blank spaces following. The first character of the verse will display on a new line.

Here is a sample from Psalm 1 as appeared on my screen:

1 ???????????????????????????????? 2
??????????????????????????? 3
????????????????????????????????????? 4
???????????????????? 5
????????????????????????????????? 6
???????????????????????

Hotkeys or Shortcuts

Has there been any talk or thoughts on adding hotkeys to the program? For example adding 'ctrl + s' to open up the Strongs. Or even adding a right-click option with the mouse for some of the Tools like the Strongs?

It would make it so much easier than having to use the mouse to go up to the Tools, click on it and then go down to the Strongs line and click on it. (I am just using the Strongs option as an example.) :)

Just a thought.

Finding unicode Greek fonts that work

One way to improve this already excellent software is to add a wiki item on finding and installing fonts that display Greek properly, particularly accented characters. After considerable searching and surfing the web, I discovered that the fonts I lacked were already present on my computer, yet not in the correct place. The fix was simple.

The following worked for me (using BPBible 0.4.4 on Windows XP) and may well work for others.

Small foot print

i have just downloaded the usb version to my 32 gb sd card in my dell mini-9 that only has 8 gb hd. i have an icon pointing to it & have several bible books, commentaries, devotionals. i love this program! i do wish you could interface it with the u3 open office portable apps word processor or even the windows version. it is a challenge for me to keep my hd lien with only 8 gb.
this is great program. have you considered incorporating the miriad of http://www.olivetree.com/ material. why reinvent the wheel if it will work?

Strongs Dictionaries not working

Whenever I right-click within a Bible window and select the "Look up '...' in the Dictionary" option from the pop-up menu, the last entry (08674 in Hebrew or 05624 in Greek) is always displayed. It works correctly if I display the strongs numbers in the text and click that number, but not by just selecting the word.

I am currently using the Portable version 0.4 rev 2, which included the strongs dictionaries.

Display of Chinese characters

I downloaded the ChiUn (Chinese Union Version Traditional) Bible module and installed it OK. The font I selected was Arial Unicode MS. However, each character is displayed on its side, i.e. rotated 90 degrees anti-clockwise from its correct orientation. I will be most grateful if someone can tell me how can I get the characters to be displayed the right way up?
