BP Bible Portableapp

Hello again and thanks for a great tool. Will there be a new BPBible portableapp soon? I really like to havemy word with me at all times and on a fast usb stick is great.

I hope so. I sent the files off to John Haller a while ago (just after the release) but haven't heard from him since. I probably should post something on the PortableApps forums...

New version of Portable App not working

Hi,

I just installed the new Portable version of BP Bible (0.4) to my flash drive using the automated installer from portableapps.com.

However, when I launch BPBible from the Portable Apps menu, after I see the splash screen, nothing happens. Any idea why?

msvcp71.dll was not the answer :(

First thing I checked was whether the .DLL file was in \system32 under the windows directory... yes, it was.

I then copied this DLL to both the BPBiblePortable directory, as well as BPBiblePortable\app\BPBible.

Still, I get the splash screen, which displays then clears, and then nothing. Checking Task Manager shows no processes related to BPBible which are running or otherwise hung.

Any other ideas? I would really like to get this to work on my flash drive. Thanks...

** UPDATE: **
Tried running this on a different computer (same flash drive) - it worked. So, then I tried the flash drive in the computer which had been giving me problems, and now it works fine. Not sure what has changed, but it's working now, so I'm done griping. :)
