Installing Books
BPBible will read books as distributed by the SWORD project. The main download point for books is the CrossWire module repository. When you download books, it is best to download the raw zip version (though the others will work).
When you have downloaded a module, open up an Explorer window to the download directory. Select the module or modules, and drag them onto the BPBible window. Alternatively, in the BPBible window go File > Install Books and select the module file or files.
You can now select the installation directory to install it to somewhere different, or view the information associated with the module before installing it. Now press OK to install the book. The book should show up in the list of available books.
Recommended installation locations:
- BPBible with The SWORD Project for Windows installed: the SWORD Project installation directory (usually
C:\Program Files\Crosswire\The SWORD Project). This way, The SWORD Project will also be able to read the module.
- BPBible without The SWORD Project for Windows installed:
C:\Program Files\BPBible\resources, where C:\Program Files\BPBible is the directory you installed BPBible to.
- BPBible Portable:
X:\PortableApps\BPBiblePortable\Data\resources, where X:\PortableApps\BPBiblePortable is the directory you installed BPBible Portable to.
